Welcome to RGM College Attappadi

Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Government Arts & Science College, Attappadi is a higher education institution established in August 2012 by the Government of Kerala under the Collegiate Education Department, specifically to serve the needs of the tribal community in the region. The college is situated in Kottathara, Attappadi, within the Palakkad district, and is named in honor of the former Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi.

Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Government Arts & Science College offers undergraduate degree programs in Public Administration, History, Malayalam, and Commerce, along with a postgraduate program in Public Administration. The college is affiliated with the University of Calicut.

The college was founded to address and uplift the educational aspirations of local students, especially those from the tribal population, in a geographically remote and underserved region. Attappadi is unique as the only tribal block in Kerala, home to around 10,530 tribal households across 192 hamlets, mainly of the Irular, Mudugar, and Kurumbar communities.
