IQAC

As per National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) guidelines every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC becomes a part of the institution’s system and works towards realization of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance.
The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of institutions.

Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Government Arts and Science College, Attappadiwas established in 2012 and the institution has not accredited yet. To go for accreditation an IQAC is functioning here well.

To build and ensure a quality culture with conscious, reliable and transparent efforts through a combination of self and external quality evaluation, promotion and sustenance initiatives.

MISSION

To channelize and systematize the efforts and measures of an institution towards academic excellence.

To be the driving force for ushering in quality to remove deficiencies and enhance quality.

To encourage departments to establish student Learning-centric environment to use ICT tools for teaching and learning process and to inculcate value–based education system.

To ensure an effective and transparent operations to achieve excellence in Academic, Administrative and Financial activities through timely internal and external audit

To facilitate ICT enabled Teaching – Learning – Evaluation augmented with increased course options, Learning Resources and Infrastructure facilities.

To formalize the feedback from clients, community, employees with necessary follow-up action.

OBJECTIVES

  • To develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
  • To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.
  • To ensure the education offered here to be effective and efficient with high standard
  • To provide a sound basis for decision making imbibing all the dimensions of service quality to improve institutional functioning.
  • To coordinate and improve internal communication to facilitate greater policy implementation and quality assurance towards its stakeholders.

  • Preparation of the Annual Report
  • Preparing of the Annual Quality assessment Report (AQAR)
  • Collection of Feedback on Curriculumfrom students
  • Preparation of subjectwise List of Journals.
  • Preparing  Career Advancement Schemesand Performance-Based Appraisal as per latest UGC guidelines
  • Performing data entry and analysis of Green Audit
  • Conducting of Training Programsfor the Administrative staffs
  • Conducting of Students Satisfaction Survey.
  • Procuring of API Calculator- online software for calculation of academic performance score for teachers. Now the teachers have to input their performance-related activities and the API score is automatically calculated.
